JAMES TREACY
JAMES TREACY

James Treacy is one of those men who have aptitude at the wrench as well as the wheel. As soon as he could drive, he made his boyhood fascination with off-road motorsports into a reality. He bought a 1972 Commando and then a 1984 Toyota pick-up adding his own off-road modifications.

In 2002, James turned his passion into a profession, working at Oregon Motor Sports, under the mentorship of Chris Barr, constructing custom suspension for sand rails. In 2004, he began working for Tony and Matt at the Land Cruiser Northwest Off-Road Fabrication shop. There he developed innovative off-road fabrication for a variety of vehicles, while building his own rock-crawling chassis.

Since 2006, James has fabricated three separate rock-crawling buggies from the ground up, as well as completed numerous projects with Brian Stanton at Driveline Tech and Fabrication in Gresham, OR.

James and his family regularly participate in about 20 trails runs a year, from Utah to California, Oregon, and Washington. James has competed in the WERock Rock Crawling Series in Goldendale, WA, Reno, NV, and Oroville, CA.
