Our Webbing was originally engineered for heavy-duty industrial applications and is of the highest quality available. Recovery Gear's straps are manufactured in the U.S. in accordance with the recommended standard specifications of the web Sling and Tie Down association. In addition, Recovery Gear takes the extra step of maintaining quality and product integrity by meeting ANSI B30.9A specifications.
Many maufacturers and distributors market the strength of their webbing simply by the width of their material. They will simply assume that every inch equates to 10,000 pounds of breaking strength without throughly testing their material or construction tecnniques. We use a test pull machine to regularly test the strength capabilitis of our straps. The test machine has a capability of 1,200,000 pounds is accurate to 1/2 of 1% and is ABS and Lloyds approved. Unlike many manufacturers, our webbing products are used using the more expensive and time consuming lockstitch process to resist unraveling.
