Providing great equipment is important to us, but we understand that we're part of something much bigger, and look for creative opportunities to pay forward. Here are just some of the ways we contribute:
- Blue Sky energy - It's a bit more expensive, but we get our power from the wind.
- Comprehensive recycling program - We recycle almost everything!
- Alternative Transportation - Many of our employees use public transportation or bike to work, with our encouragement.
- Driving Green - We participate in a carbon-offset program, which promotes cleaner air and water by reducing methane and nitrous oxide emissions in agriculture.
- Common sense - OK, we admit it, we have off-road vehicles, but we only use them in off-road situations. For the workday week we drive more economical vehicles.
- Thinking local - Because we do the majority of our own manufacturing, use local suppliers whenever possible, and are in close proximity to several major west coast ports (so products don't have to crisscross the country), we keep our carbon footprint small.
- Sustainability - We're dedicated to controlling waste and recycling unused materials from our manufacturing processes and our corporate offices.
- Re-use - Most of our products are made from recyclable Metal and petroleum-based products.
- Planned NON-obsolescence - Our products are built to last, not designed as frequently-replaced throwaways, by keeping them out of land fills.
- Packaging - We package our products responsibly (no blister packs!), and use low-eco-impact, recycled packaging when shipping.
